Principal's Message

Welcome Students,
It is an honor to join the Lion Community and Loris High School. I look forward to working with faculty/staff, students, parents and the community to continue the successes that Loris High School has seen over the past several years.

We will continue with the A-B-C schedule this year and the reading initiative "Pawz and Read" on Mondays and Thursdays for 25 minutes each day. Every Monday and Wednesday will be A-day and every Tuesday and Thursday will be B-day and Fridays will be C-day where all classes from both A and B days will meet for a shortened 43 minute, 8-period day.

Dirk Gurley

I strongly encourage all students to take advantage of the many experiences, both curricular and extracurricular, that are offered at Loris High School. Get involved in clubs and organizations, athletics and work hard to make good grades. I challenge every student to do his/her personal best.

I look forward to the 2009-2010 school year and am excited about working with you. Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.
