Media Center

At Loris High School we consider one of the important purposes of any educational program is to provide students with a variety of self-enriching ideas and experiences, which hopefully leads to intellectual curiosity and achievement. Nowhere can this all be satisfied in a variety of ways as well as in the Media Center. A full range of media and the accompanying technology is required to implement the programs and purposes of our school. We expect our students to recognize the importance of information systems in modern society and actively seek differing points of view. Students must also bring critical judgements to bear upon the selection of appropriate resources to meet their needs and interests and to express these in a variety of formats. In the media center we serve students, faculty, administrators, parents, and members of our community to satisfy these expectations .
